I am a Consultant Psychiatrist and I provide timely and reliable access to assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for adults suffering from mild to severe mental health problems and distress.
In the first instance, feel free to contact me for an initial discussion on john@drjohnbainton.com regarding my availability and suitability for you.
After this initial enquiry, as of January 2023 your care, assessment and treatment will be offered by me through the Psychiatry-UK practice.
The conditions I can help with, and the assessment, diagnosis and treatments offered by Psychiatry-UK are the same as in my independent practice. The Psychiatry-UK platform is convenient and safe for patients.
Psychiatry-UK is an established online psychiatry service with a confidential and secure online consultation system. It is rated as ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission, and ‘Outstanding’ in the area of caring.
Fees charged by Psychiatry-UK to you are generally around the same as my independent fees. I regret I am unable to offer care outside of Psychiatry-UK at this time, if this is not suitable for you. Many patients are able to access healthcare provided by me in Psychiatry-UK funded by the NHS Right To Choose scheme. The Psychiatry-UK website has more information on this.
Please follow the link above to make a booking or read more. There is extensive information available on the Psychiatry-UK website.
Referrals are accepted from private and NHS general practitioners and specialists. Psychiatry-UK also accepts some self-referrals from patients.
Timing and location: Clinic slots are available generally on weekends, with some ad hoc availability on weekdays, by discussion. All consultations are through the Psychiatry-UK online video system.
Your confidentiality and discretion are maintained, within the framework of the General Medical Council’s guidance to all UK doctors regarding patient confidentiality.
